LiDAR and elevation data for Taiwan

Restricted LiDAR exists but is not openly licensed: it is sold, released on request, or limited to non-commercial use.

The Ministry of the Interior has produced 1 m grid DTMs from airborne LiDAR since 2006 and its DTM platform serves 1 m and 20 m data for Taiwan, Kinmen and Penghu, but the 1 m product is classified as an official secret and supplied only to government agencies on application. The 20 m DTM is open data under the Open Government Data License, and a CC BY 4.0 research LiDAR survey of Central Range river channels is hosted by OpenTopography.
