LiDAR and elevation data for Ireland

Partial open LiDAR Openly licensed LiDAR exists, but only for limited areas such as states, provinces, cities or project sites.

There is no complete national LiDAR model in the public domain. Geological Survey Ireland's Open Topographic Lidar Data aggregates LiDAR-derived DTMs and DSMs from GSI, OPW, TII and other surveys under CC BY 4.0. It covers selected areas, including Dublin at 1 m and OPW coastal and flood-risk surveys at 2 m, and is delivered as GeoTIFF and ArcGIS image services.

Free is not the same as open. Cost is what you pay to get the data; the licence says what you may do with it. How cost and licence are defined
